SHE {Five Minute Friday}

It’s Five Minute Friday! I am linking up again with our awesome host, Lisa-Jo. She gives us one word each week and asks us just to write for five minutes. Our word for this week…

SHE

She loved me with all of her heart.

She taught me how to crochet and sew.

She always had beautiful flowers growing.

She was an amazing cook…her creamed corn was my favorite.

She made quilts with my great-grandmothers and great-aunts.

She knew all of our birthdays.

She always had a gift for us at Christmas.

She sewed her own clothes and always looked beautiful.

She was a good listener.

She loved Jesus and her family.

She would help anyone in need.

She loved and respected him all of her days.

She is so missed by me.

I strive to be the kind of wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and one day grandmother that she was.

My grandmother was such an amazing lady! I learned so much from her and miss her every day. I know she is in Heaven with my Papa and watching over us each day.untitled

Check out what other ladies are writing about this week…

  1. You are a blessed woman! I know how much I cherished my grandma and although she didn’t do all the things your grandma did, you made me remember her with much sadness and gratitude. I can tell she meant the world to you! Thanks for sharing! Bless you! Your FMF “neighbor” Cindy

    • Hi Cindy! Thank you for stopping by. I wish she was still her for my children but they know a lot about her. I talk about her and share the things she made for us. One of my most treasured gifts is a quilt made by her and the other ladies in my family.
      Blessings to You!

  2. I still have my mother and grandmother, and they have taught me so much. Your piece is so very inspiring to remember that they will always live on inside of us.
