Teenagers

I ran into a friend the other day and she said “Can you believe we are going to have teenagers in a few months?” (Our boys were born the same day within a few hours of each other.)

I know it is coming but I still can’t believe my sweet, baby boy is going to be a teenager this year!

I still remember the first time I held him. He was so long and skinny and with a dimple on his cheek just like mine. I was so proud and terrified at the same time. He was our first and I had become a Mom.

What a blessing he has been! He does have his moods and can be a pain at times but overall my boy is encouraging, compassionate, funny, and a great athlete.

We have spent a lot of time watching baseball, basketball, and even a few years of football. I wouldn’t trade that time for anything. It fills my heart to watch him do somthing he loves.

What about you – do you have teenagers or have been through those years? Any advice for someone that is about to experience those years?

Blessings to You,
Melissa
